UNDP- EU BASKET FUND PROJECT: CAPACITY BUILDING TRAINING FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS IN LAGOS

Insights from the recent UNDP EU Basket Fund Capacity Building Training held in Lagos. This initiative brought together civil servants from various sectors who aspire to launch their own enterprises upon retirement.









The training focused on equipping participants with essential entrepreneurial skills and knowledge. From refining business ideas to understanding market trends and financial management, the program provided a comprehensive toolkit for future entrepreneurs. Our goal was to empower these seasoned professionals with the confidence and competence needed to transition successfully from public service to private enterprise.

Throughout the sessions, we explored practical strategies for starting and sustaining a business, addressing key challenges, and leveraging their vast experience in the public sector. The enthusiasm and commitment of the participants were truly inspiring, showcasing their readiness to embrace new ventures and contribute to the economic landscape in Lagos.


The support from UNDP and the EU has been crucial in delivering this valuable training. By fostering a supportive environment for potential entrepreneurs, we are paving the way for a future where experience and innovation drive success.
